Planning the Garden Gives me a Bit of Hope

one of my favorite Celosia plants, Dracula
Beautiful Cockscomb bloom, velvety soft.
Perfect for drying or bouquets

This year I think I'm going to focus on flowers and herbs in my two green stalks, front of porch beds will be sown seed flowers; both perranial and annuals.

For vegetables I'm focusing on things I know we really like.

I was happy with the results last year with Burpee direct sow tomatoes.  I'm going to devote a bed to these.

Broccoli, Swiss Chard, Broccoli Rabe (Rapini), Spinach, Loose Leaf Lettuces and Mesclun Mix,  Green and Yellow Squashs, Pickling Cukes and Pumpkins.

Some I will self sow, and some I will start from seed under grow lights.

I used gift cards end of the season 2025 at Territorial Seeds.  I purchased Garlic (Transylavanian) that my DS and I already planted in the fall.  Hakurei Salad Turnips, Greens, squashes, new to me and my usual.  Seed potatoes that I purchased from a farm in Maine will be shipped to me at the correct planting time.

Even with my pain level, I'm hoping that I can focus a bit more on my healing time in the soil.

Are you planning on having a garden this year?
