Did Not Pay Attention to Food Costs in January 2026

 With all the chaos in our world lately, I haven't been focused on shopping much, let alone totals. 

We also did a lot of take out, due to exhaustion and time. 

January 3rd, 2026 Aldi $33.95     Mustard, Ketchup, Mayo, 3 dozen eggs, Philly cream cheese, 4 apple juice and Jalapeno Cheddar Sourdough. 

January 6th, BJ's $56.83 48 count Jimmy Dean turkey sausage, 2 loaves Potato bread, 2 containers whipped cream cheese, case of spring water, 5 dozen eggs, large rye bread and 6 raisin bagels. 

January 9th, Shoprite $21.50   Bright Farms Chickpea salad kit, Swiss Chard, Mushrooms, Bright Farm Southwest Chipotle kit, Broccoli

January 12, Big Y $25.94 2 Motts apple juice and 3 cases water

January 14, BJ's $64.46 Case of Rice Pudding, 3# bananas cases of vanilla and chocolate nutrition shakes. 

January 22, Shoprite $68.48  3 fresh express salad kits, ruffles potato chips, 3 Sunkist 2L, Martins potato bread, Pigs Fly Sourdough Bread, Cocacola 24 pack, .75# Land O Lakes American and 2#Broccoli Rabe. 

January 22, Big Y $32.85 (OMG soda prices, told DH he has to cut back) 12 pack Sunkist Zero cans, #Hillshire Farms turkey breast and 32 oz Grillos pickles. 

January 27, BJ's $ 68.42           case tomato soup, case Italian wedding soup, 4 pk Panera Mac and cheese, 4# bag frozen roasting vegetables, 10# russet potatoes, 18 pk Ritz crackers, 2# Orgainic chicken breast, 

January 30 Big Y $60.56 on a huge amount of Kettle and Fire Bone stocks as it's got 10 grams of protein per serving.  They didn't want him eating my stock right now for fear of me missing bones or meat. 

January 30 BJ's $89.44     48 count Jimmy Dean turkey sausage, 3 cases assorted baby food pouches, 24 pack jello puddings.
