We got our Quarter of a Cow

 Weight and price per pound fluctuated between communication over a few months from order to receive, however we are quite happy with the outcome.  We received 104.5 pounds of assorted beef cuts for $731 ($7 USD per pound) just before Christmas.  I feel that this will last us for a year.

Low fat content, and it was delicious.  Served over rice

We received about 40 one pound packages of ground beef various grinds. 

15 pounds of soup bones, and I did make soup with some of the bones a few days after the meat was delivered (included in price, delivered right from a family member of the farm)

The rest is steaks, stew meat and roasts.

Husband was very happy.  I was happy that everything fit in our chest freezer with room for the 23 lb turkey I already had in there.  

We are now saving for a future purchase of half of a cow.  

Do you think this price was good?  I thought it was based on prices in grocery stores.
