August and September Grocery Purchases

 

Since August and September have been such a clusterf&*k, I'm combining the two months totals here.  I am only counting what I purchased for our household, as the Uncles special requests he reimbursed me for.  We definitely worked with our pantry and freezers.  I admit we also ate a lot of take away.   I have also started baking bread again, a loaf every other day to assure freshness.  Our house would rather I do that then freeze bread. 

August 1, Target $63.23  3 twelve packs Coke Zero, .5 gallon whole milk, 2 Stok Cold Brew, 3 twelve packs Sprite Zero. 

August 4th, Aldi $50.00 (what are the odds of such an even amount) chopped salad kit, 1#organic chicken breast, 1.8# Lemon Garlic Pork Loin, 1#Sliced Turkey Breast prepackaged, 1.25# ground turkey, A dill veggie dip and a tzatziki sauce, .5# chipotle cheddar cheese, 2 dozen eggs, 2 apple juice

August 4th, Stop and Shop $27.95 2 salad kits, 4 Newmans Lemonade

August 6, BJ's  $49.94 4 Stok Cold Brew, 3 cases water, Croissants

August 14, Stop and Shop $40.88  Perdue Shortcuts grilled chicken, frozen fried rice kit (gifted to DD)  3 cases of water and 2 apple juice

August 21, Target $59.96 2 twelve packs Dr. Pepper Zero, 2 Stok Coffee, 3 twelve packs Sunkist Zero

September 1, Target $48.15 Bays English Muffins, 3 twelve packs coke zero, 2 dave's killer muffins, .5 gallon whole milk

September 15, Stop and Shop $46.08 5# potatoes, LOL spreadable butter/olive oil, 2 Ben and Jerry's Cherry Garcia, 1 lemonade, 4 apple juice, 2 grape juice, 2 Stok Cold Brew. 

September 17, Aldi $54.91 1 apple juice, 2 cans cherry pie filling, apple sauce cups, .5 gallon whole milk, pkg of guacamole minis, 1.25 grilled chicken strips, 20 CT hash brown patties, 2 chopped salad kits, saltines, clubhouse crackers and 2 bags of peanut butter pretzels. 

August 21, BJ's $38.46  Huge bag Hershey kisses for baking, Jimmy Dean Turkey Sausage, 2 containers whipped cream cheese

August 26, BJ's 72.22  2 pk gallons apple juice (never buying this again, to heavy to pour) a case of individual apple juices (worked well for enders) 6 cans solid white tuna, box jimmy dean turkey sausage links, 4 bottle Stok Cold Brew. 

Sept 7 BJ's $240.67 big stock up and a order snafu.  Mini crispy chocolate chip cookies, chocolate chunk cookies, 6# penne pasta, 6#elbow macaroni, 40 oz coffee, Brie cheese, 6 cans light tuna, half and half, Mayonaise, Organic celery, whipped cream cheese, 4 bottles Stok Cold Brew, 2# lemons, .75 lb proscuitto, 1# American cheese, 2# Rye, 8 CT Ciabatta Rolls and the snafu was 13 dozen eggs.  Yes, that's right.  And since they brought it to my car I had to keep them.  2 Five dozen packages and 2 Eighteen count packages. We have gone through and shared 5 dozen so far.   

September 22, Stop and Shop $49.09 2 cases of water, 1 apple juice, 2 potato bread loaves, 1# Italian sausage, 2 bunches broccoli Rabe, # of broccoli crowns, # baby carrots, 12 oz brussel sprouts, 3# onions. 

September 23, Aldi $44.74 1.25# Lemon Garlic Pork Loin, a pound each of German rye and pumpernickel breads, apple juice, orange juice, spreadable butter olive oil spread, Bob Evans Mashed Potatoes (Uncle was buying these, and Pops got hooked.....he isn't eating much, so I will get whatever he will eat)  Never frozen Salmon 1#, 1# Ground Pork and 1# Organic ground beef, .5# each white and baby Bella mushrooms. 

September 26, BJ's $121.66    Large box Minute Rice, 40 oz coffee, Large tub peanut butter pretzels, Jimmy Dean Turkey Sausage, Hillshire Farm Lower Sodium Turkey, 2 Bags tortilla chips, 16 CT guacamole minis, Large Hebrew National Salami, 8 pk Goya chick peas
