$488.97 total spent in stores. Local Farmer who we previously purchased pork and beef from in a large quantity delivered 3 large roaster chickens he raised her in town. 10-12 pounds each. (and also gifted me two potted plants when he found out I was ill, very nice customer service) for $90.00. I am choosing to buy more consumables locally raised.
Total for June spent is $578.97
That's a thrifty month in my opinion for the number of people and quality of food. I recently retired but still trying to figure out the best way to use my time ( gardening, batch cooking, meal prep, baking) and using all scratch cooking. I only feed two of us with sometimes 2 more.
