Today was a Very Good Day

Have been not feeling well since Saturday.  Usual Flare symptoms.  I had been moved to infusions each 4 weeks, but couldn't start that until June due to other obligations, so this was my last month of 6 weeks and as per usual, the 5th week I start to fade.  Bathroom issues, every joint hurts, exhaustion and pain.

But today, I had my energy back.  First, I filled the house with lilacs, every room.  There is a storm coming, and it will more than likely strip the blooms.  So I wanted to enjoy it as much as I could.   After all the pitchers/vases were filled, I had some left over small blooms.  I carefully plucked the small flowers, and put them with sugar in a jar.  I will shake it every few days, and will soon have lilac sugar. Great for baking and adding to drinks.  Only do this if you know the flowers have not had any chemicals sprayed on it.

I weeded a bit, and found some rogue lemon balm.  I'm on my last bottle of last years lavender toner, so I decided to make lemon balm toner.  Put the leaves in a mason jar.  Added witch hazel and shook.  I put it under the bathroom sink to 'brew'.

Also in advance of the rain on Thursday, I planted zinnia seeds, cilantro, zucchini and yellow squash seeds. Pretty soon I will be picking Rabe!

Before getting ready to leave for the studio, I made dinner.

Browned 2# grass fed beef chuck roast.  Added worstershire sauce, 2 cups of beef stock, 2# of very small onions and 5 garlic cloves.   Put it in my insta pot for 35 minutes on high pressure.  Did a quick release, took meat out and added potato and carrots to the liquid.  High pressure for 4 minutes.  Shredded the meat and dinner was ready.

Was a very good day.
