I truly do appreciate all the handmade gifts (clay music ornament, drawings, handwritten notes from young ones) and do save them. I keep them all in the same tote, and some years later I have been known to write a letter and send them back one of their notes to show them how cute and important to me they were.
All of the gift cards are also so appreciated and helpful. Recently was able to get a big shopping spree at Target, 12 cases of soda (something I only purchase once every quarter) as well as 2 dozen eggs, 8 pk of Annie's shells and cheddar, English muffins, and Two 46 ounce OJ and I had to pay $7.58 which was less than the bottle deposits.
I also was able to load $40 on my Starbucks app, $25 on my DD app (mainly when husband and I are out, he will get a donut and I get a water) and a whopping $145 on my Panera account!
I love candles, though get nervous keeping them lit. I really do need to get a candle warmer. These are the two candles I received. They both smell delicious. Oh wait! I received Amazon gift cards too! I'm ordering that candle warmer.
Of course assorted treats and sweets. Everyone is so truly appreciated. I'm old fashioned, I do give them all handwritten thank you notes. The youngest students really enjoy that, especially trying to decipher my cursive. (well, maybe not, but it starts a conversation)
