Turnip Greens with Butternut Squash and Bacon
Picked fresh Saturday! Turnip Greens, Onions and Garlic
- 1 tbsp, Olive oil
- 8 oz, Butternut squash
- 1 cup, chopped, Onion, raw
- 4 thin strip, Bacon, cooked
- 1 tablespoon, Butter, salted
- 1 lb, Turnip greens, raw
- 1 clove, Garlic
- Ginger to Taste
- 1 fluid oz, Lemon juice
Sauteed the onions and garlic in the olive oil, added the greens and stirred til wilted. Added the squash, cooked til tender. While cooking I cooked the bacon and chopped it. Added it to the pan and combined. Added butter, lemon juice and ground ginger stirred to coat.
I'm sorry no picture of the after, it was gone in 10 minutes!
I like plain turnip greens, but that is just me.
