Farmer's Market Share starts next week (so excited!) as well as my first Chicken Share in June. Garden is so far doing well. I am hoping to only need dairy, fruit, select bakery products, such as bagels/sandwich bread that is DH preference. Start date was pushed to May 31st, Farmer Joe wanted to give the crops a week more with the extended rain we had on Saturday the 20th and warmer temps for one more week. Disappointed, but appreciate his hard work.
You may be wondering why I have both a Market Share and I garden so much. Fresh eating, preservation for the winter months and sharing with family and neighbors are all part of my plan. Also, I never know what won't do well, either at the farm or here at home. I like having the backups.
