I'm trying to reframe my brain to make our home here in Connecticut to be what I am looking for in Pennsylvania. I think the dream I have of moving there is becoming unrealistic. By time we are 'free' from obligations to all of the elders I don't think we will be still spry enough to do what we wanted to do. So, I'm doing it here. Enjoying what we have.
I am ramping up more gardening. I'm not an expert, but it makes me happy.
Above are turnips, chard, rabe and onions
pole beans will grow up the tri trellis
Walking onions will have bush beans sprinkled in the center
Tomato seedlings hardening off and other beds getting prepared.
The black trellis above is where vining Malabar Spinach will grow.
Most people use this as a perennial plant for color. It isn't truly a spinach, but it's foliage
is edible and it does taste like mild spinach
Enjoying the wildlife
Unfortunately this baby was dinner for someone. We found lots of
fur in the vicinity of where he is a few days after I took these photos.
Below is Tom flirting with some girls
They weren't interested
They are not flustered by me anymore, sometimes I think they are following me around, here is a female walking with me.
Now, I'm working on the DH for a few goats. We have the space, having goats is one of my PA dreams, so why not make them true here.
What are your hopes and dreams? Are you adjusting them?
