I had baked Anadama Bread from a Prepared Pantry Bread Mix that I had gotten when prices were much lower. I love their products, and will continue to purchase from them, but I cannot pay the cost of their Bread Mixes right now. Gpa P loved this bread, raved about it, ate the entire loaf in 24 hours.
So, I found a recipe
For 2 pound loaf, follow directions above, steps 1 through 8, using these ingredient amounts (added to ABM in order listed):
1 1/2 cups water
1/4 cup molasses
1/4 cup dry skim milk powder
1 1/2 tsp salt
2 Tbsp unsalted butter or margarine, cut in pieces
3/4 cup yellow cornmeal
4 1/2 cups bread flour
2 tsp bread machine yeast
It came out wonderful!
