Okay, Egg Price Increases are Real

April 13th I did a Walmart Pickup    60 count case of eggs was 6.55

I was assembling my May order to have ready to pay and schedule a pickup and this is what I now find the price to be

$11.85! An increase of $5.30! In just 13 days!

And BJ's Wholesale for the same amount of eggs is $13.45 now. The last time (January 31) I purchased eggs here it was $7.49.  Which is why I switched to getting eggs at Walmart.

What are you seeing in your area?

  1. What am I seeing? That the stores still have food for sale inside of them. And that no matter how high they raise the prices, it's still a helluva lot cheaper than so many other countries. I betcha a housewife from Ukraine would give anything to go shopping inside a Walmart. Stop complaining. Be happy.

    1. Wow. I was observing and sharing my findings. I am quite happy with where we are in life, and know that I am blessed to purchase eggs and many other things.......even more importantly I grieve for those suffering in Ukraine, and we have personally done things to help support families locally who were able to escape to the states. Perhaps you should look inside at why you are so angry? and anonymously trying to shame me?

    2. That was a bizarre, mean reply! Eggs have not risen so high here, thankfully. But, I have not gone in a grocery store in a few days.

    3. Sometimes people are angry or upset about other reasons. I hope that person has a better day today.

  2. We live in a rural area where most people raise chickens and I can still get a dozen for $2.00 but I expect that to go up a bit with the price of feed going up. The price of eggs in the store has gone up quite a bit I've noticed.

    1. When I am in PA (Amish Country) I can still get fresh eggs for $2 - $2.50 per dozen. Locally I can get farm eggs anywhere from $3 to 5 dollars a dozen.
