Staying Calm and Carrying On January 4th 2022

My DH purchased his first ever new car last year.  He saved for 12 years, and had his dream fulfilled of owning a Tesla.  Prior to that he had leased a Chevy Bolt, but was really wanting the Tesla.

We got our first Tax (supplemental) bill for this car yesterday.  Holy Moly Bat Man.  As much as our mortgage.  On top of the business' quarterly taxes.  He was quite anxious.  I told him we would make it work.  The whole point of a 'no spend' month was my anticipating the taxes.

As you may know, we own several businesses (on top of his full time position at an Aerospace Company).  January is always a transition month for all.

New students are trickling in.  No open slots now, unless we extend hours.  A good problem to have.

I had two very high end items sell today in our online stores.  One has been inquired about for months, by many different people.  No one purchased.  Today, it sold.    The Supplemental tax bill is covered.  Thank you Lord.

On top of teaching today from home (Most of my virtual students are on Tuesdays) I was able to vacuum seal all the holiday clothing (DH and I both like to have lots of humorous shirts and sweaters to make the kids laugh) Vacuum seal all the holiday pillows and linens too.

Posted 20 new items between our two shoppes.

Mop kitchen floor.

Dust Dining Room and Living Room and then Vacuum.

Work on a craft project.

Pack up sales for shipment tomorrow.

All in all a good day.  Oh, and NO SPENDING! How is your day going?
