I have been finding good deals on Beef. I have read and heard it's because so many ranchers have cut back on their herds, and in the future prices will be insane. So whenever I find a great Beef price I am purchasing it.
I am also utilizing more delivery and order pickup options. It's worth the cost for me (though I have maximized coupon/offers to minimize the fees) to not have to leave home/studio to spend time walking the stores right now. I have a torn meniscus (an overly exuberant lovely special needs student threw me off balance) and am trying to avoid surgery. Horrible timing.
November 1, Walmart 104.93 I'm finding this is the BEST option for pickup as there is no fee. They also were out of the 48 ounce chicken stock I wanted, and they more than doubled the quantity of ounces in a different size, for the same cost. That really worked out for me.
Eight 32 ounce chicken stock. 2 King Arthur bread flour, 2 glass jars of yeast, 4 vegetable stock boxes, 2 Goya beets, 4 Goya Cilantro sauce, 4 Goya tomato sauce, 4 Goya canned hominy, 4 Goya dried split pea pound bags, 1 Goya mixed bean soup pound bag, Gallon of whole milk, 4 Goya yellow rice, 1 Goya olives, 4 Starbucks cold brew boxes (this should last me through the next 3 or 4 months)
November 2 Stop and Shop $54.44
2 boxes Starbucks K cups, 3.52 lbs of 85% lean Ground beef, 1.5 lbs of Premio Sausage, 3.5 lbs of 80% lean Ground Beef, 1.5 lbs of Wright Brand bagon. 1 lb of Asparagus.
November 4 Aldi $35.81
I am going to make an effort to visit Aldi on Mondays to get deals and seasonal holiday items that I know are a better price. 10 lbs of potatoes (not the best price I have ever gotten, but I wanted them in the house) Soft Gingerbread cookies, CinnamonStar cookies (special items for holiday's hidden away) 5.25 lbs of spaghetti squash, 2 lbs of sour cream, spreadable butter, Almondnog (Thanks CTONABUDGET for making me aware), Half & Half, Two bags of tortilla chips, Large back of whole carrots, lb bag of baby carrots, Celery, 2 Cukes and a head of iceburg lettuce. 1.27 of green bananas. Can of apple pie filling.
November 4 Shoprite $56.99
I am stocking up when I find things we are out of and that I want to have in the pantry. 2.79 lbs of banana (ripe) and 1.99 lbs of Red grapes. 2.74 lb Round roast, 4 canned beets, 7 cans of corn, Thomas English Muffins, Barilla Vero Gusto Marinara (free after Ibotta), 2 Tropicana OJ (trying to get Gpa P to eat/drink a bit more), 2 Sour Cream, 4 whole cranberry sauce, 4 Progresso Chicken Stock.
November 10 Aldi $38.45 Holiday planning, lb of Salmon, Brioche, Cream cheese, 4 Greek yogurts, Tortilla chips, Gluten free bed, organic pears, solid white tuna, GF bagels , Organic hummus, Honey Ham, Mini chocolate bars and Schogetten chocolate.
November 11, Sister and my Daughter were here from FL and CO to spend time with our failing Grandmother and to visit our parents. We stopped at Bishops Orchards. An expensive trip, but was time together so worth it. $53.15 Coffee Cake, Cider Donuts, Contessa Round loaf, Raspberries, Blackberries, 3 lb turnip, pint of tomatoes, 1 lb of baby Brussel sprouts, the smallest I have ever seen and they were delicious. 4 qts of Fuji apples.
November 15 Stop and Shop $37.52
Molasses, Brown Sugar, Canned Blueberries, 4 cases of water, croutons, 6 yogurts, 2 Pillsbury pie crusts boxes, quart of cream, Stick of pepperoni, 48 ounces of Brussel sprouts, bag of cranberries, 12 ounce bag of green beans, pound of mushrooms and a 19.54 lb frozen turkey
November 15 Shoprite Delivers $46.23
4 Breakstone Sour cream, 16 various Green Giant canned vegetables, 4 Ocean Spray cranberry sauce, 3 cases water, 6 lbs of zucchini, 13 lb frozen turkey (free) two loaves levy's rye and one Wonder bread (for DH turkey sandwiches)
Stop and Shop -$4. Yes that’s right! DH’s company gives us a gift card each November to Stop and Shop. I got an 8 lb bag of potatoes, one can of cranberry sauce, 4 jars of Heinz gravy, 5 lbs of onions, cream and half and half. I then submitted the receipt to coupons.com.
It was a great month in purchases.
