Horseradish from garden

Didn't get much, but boy did it clear my sinuses when I took a whiff!

  1. Don't need much! The fresh stuff is potent!! Enjoy!

  2. I've never grown any as a small jar will typically last me years. What do you use it for? I put it on my sandwich one in a blue moon but my recipes never seem to have that ingredient when I cook.

    1. We use it a lot. Roast beef, potato dishes. Seafood!

  3. I thought you were supposed to wait until frost killed the leaves to dig it up.

We have a plant in a pot from last year and now that it has had two summers to grow, when the frost kills it to the ground I will dig it up and pull off one small root to put back in the pot for next year and grate the rest.

My whole family love love loves horseradish!
